Information for Individuals and Families

Learn about how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) affects you. The Affordable Care Act Toolkit in the Individuals and Families section will explain the penalties for not having health insurance, premiums tax credits and cost-sharing reductions, and special enrollment and qualifying events. Learn how to use the Idaho Health Insurance Exchange to buy Blue Cross of Idaho insurance plans.

The PACE Act, signed by the President on Oct. 7, retains the definition of a small employer as 1-50 employees. Mid-sized groups will not be reclassified in 2016 as originally required by the ACA.

Information for Small and Large Businesses

As different aspects of the Affordable Care Act are phased in, or in some cases postponed, businesses may have different compliance status options, depending on their group size. Check out the Blue Cross of Idaho ACA Resource Guides for large and small employers for more information, or visit the Hot Topics page for a description of compliance status.

To stay current on group ACA compliance issues, be sure to visit the Healthcare Reform Question of the Week, also on the Hot Topics page.
